Office 2002/XP Update for Office XP (KB913471)
I don't know about the Office Updates as I don't use Office.
I would suggest uninstalling Windows XP (KB904942) as a test. Reboot after uninstall.
How to Uninstall:
This software update can be removed via Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
Make sure that the "Show Updates" box on top is checked.
