1.
Hello again i have been so buisy from the last time i came from here.i am experiencing some serious problems with my lap top can you please help me?.I was using my lap top and it just shut down automatically,i tried logging back on but after i enter my password it just restarted again then after a few tries it came back on.now whenever i shut down and restart my laptop after the first try it does not log on it just restarts, and logs on the second attempt.
[this started happening just after i had created a virtual drive and desktop and then deleted it]
2.
Now my copy and paste will not work even after i tick that function, and i do not know what to do again
3.
REGEDIT and COMMAND prompt will not work in the <RUN> function on the start menu it tells me that windows cannot open the file.
I have run all kinds of scan and cannot find a virus nor adware, nothing but when i go to administrators tools and checked my error log it showed that
["SERVICE CONTROL MANAGER" WAS THE ONE with THE ERROR] just after i had restarted it
In that same error log i went to the application log it also showed me ERROR next to
"APPLICATION HANG"
"WINDOWS PRODUCT ACTIVATION"
"APPLICATION ERROR"
are these errors software related or hardware related ?.
Plaese i humbly solicit your help any way that you can. Thank you so very much.
God Bless You
I am using .AMD athlon 2400/Quantispeed

Does this relate to any of your previous issues or is this a new problem on another computer?
I just ask so that we don't repeat steps already taken.
Service Control Manager errors are common and mostly benign. They happen when a service for some reason failed to start.
Windows Product Activation suggests that your XP has not been activated? Have you reinstalled XP? Did you activate after reinstall?
Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?
If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Thank you so much......This is a new problem.the problem i ask about in the previous post was for a good friend whose laptop got damaged. This time it is mines.
[well not all the post except the system restore folder that denied me access]
I never uninstalled my xp or reinstalled it,I will try restoring my system to an earlier date where this was not happening.let me try this now.
I just tried restoring my system but only realised i run disk cleanup yesturday and cleaned up my restore points what do i do now.
