    Cool No sound/keyboard

Can anyone help. I have installed XP but have no sound, the device manager tells me there are no drivers for the sound card so I have downloaded from ASUS and installed them, this gives me sound but the keyboard will then not work. If I uninstall the drivers for the soundcard the keyboard will work! The mouse always works.

The system is running on an ASUS P4VP-MX motherboard and the keyboard is a Belkin wireless as is the mouse.

    Thanks in anticipation.

that is probably a result in an IRQ conflict, maybe an admin can help you with that, I only know what it is, not how to fix it, sry.

Are these the drivers you used?

    Motherboard > Socket 478 > P4VP-MX

Make sure that you take the XP version.

Also you might try the VIA 4 in 1 drivers and also the USB.
