I cant D/L anything. I have done just about everything to my computer but crash it and reformat it. Then I cant get sound. I have XP. I bring up a window to Dl and it does nothing just tells me done but yet nothing happened. Some one told me about a system restore but I dont know how to do that. I did not have this problem until i got dsl from verizon I called them and they dont know whats wrong and dont know what to tell me. So yeah anything you know I will try.

So all your problems started with the DSL modem install?

Did you load any DSL software? Is it an Ethernet modem?

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Pick a date prior to the DSL install. An Ethernet connection should require no software but sometimes an ISP will put a bunch of junk on your computer. This is just a possible issue.

Ok i tried to do a system Restore and nothing happened i clicked on it and nothing. Would there be a reason for that. this is really upsetting. i cant run yahoo messenger ummm y!mlite Yahelite i cant get msn messenger. Hell i just cant do anything. What should i do?

Did everything go from OK to not OK when you switched to DSL?

If so did you install any software from your DSL (ISP) provider?

Do you have an XP CD or was XP pre installed on your computer?

If the latter what is the exact make and model of the computer?
