    Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

    I doubt that this has anything to do with XP per se. Either YSI or Java or Photoshop.

    I see these two listings in the FAQ:
    Q: How can I test to see if Scripting Support is working?
    A: As a test of the environment launch YSI, once launched press the control and T keys together (control + T), and in this sequence. This should launch a simple test script that will launch Photoshop and try to make a new document. If a new document is made in Photoshop then Scripting Support is working properly.
    Q: Got the following error when trying to Import Images or Build a Photoshop file, "Could not run the script YSI Process because of a scripting system (OSA) error. -1757"?
    A: If you have PhotoShop loaded on two seperate drives or have partitioned your C drive and PhotoShop is also loaded on these seperate sections, ensure that the Adobe scripting file is also loaded on both drives or sections. To do this, you can either load YSI on the additional drive or copy the Scripting file directly into the Adobe Plug-ins folder. Reboot your computer once you have completed this installation.

I have never used this program on this computer only on my laptop ,was working fine on Laptop but not on desktop?

    Dim pathToFile, appRef, jsArguments
    pathToFile = "C:\Program Files\You Select It\Xtras\testScripting.js"
    Set appRef = CreateObject("Photoshop.Application")
    jsArguments = []

    I had meant that I doubted it was an XP issue.

    Could be PhotoShop or YSI or Java or a combination.

    As a first try I would load the latest Java:

    At this point I am just browsing the FAQ:

    http://www.youselectit.com/faq.php

    What is the YSI version that you have? What is the PhotoShop version?
    Q: I've just loaded PhotoShop CS and YSI is not working
    A: Earlier versions of YSI (prior to 1.06) are not compatiable with PhotoShop CS. Please download our latest upgrade including the Special Series templates ( if you have previously purchased them ) and replace your current version with this latest release. YSI is now compatiable for both PS 7 & CS.
    However, if you already have our current version and just loaded CS, please re-install YSI and re-boot your machine after installation. As this will restore the new PhotoShop Scripting File, which is now included within CS. We also recommend that you remove the previous Adobe Scripting File ( My Computer / Control Panel / Add & Remove Programs ) and any earlier versions of PhotoShop if they are no longer required.
    Q: I've just upgraded to PhotoShop CS and YSI is not working.
    A: Download our latest version, as your current copy of YSI may not be compatiable with CS. If you have added the Special Series Templates to the program, you will also need to re-download and install the templates after you have upgraded YSI.
    If you have the latest version of YSI and the program will still not work with CS, we recommend that you delete PS 7's scripting file through Add / Remove section within My Computer ( or applications folder / Adobe if you are using a Mac ), as the program will refer to this file and ignore the scripting file that is now built-in within CS.
    Please remember to re-start your computer after you have removed this file.
    You are getting a scripting error. Try also to load DiretX 9.0c
