I keep gettin low disk space on my laptop partition E:/ which is set to 3.2 Gb. The only files in this partition is Windows XP files. I cant burn files to CD as there is not enough space in the E partition to hold the temp files. Also, can i get the temp files written to my C drive because i have 27 Gbs free in that partition.

A 3.2 GB partition for XP SP2 is very small. That being said I am unclear as to what you want to do.

I see no reason why you cannot move non-operating system files to C. Are you having problems doing this?

You might want to consider lowering your disk usage for System Restore.

Right click My Computer then click Properties then System Restore > Settings

Here you can allocate the % of disk space used.

Also if you just want to turn off the Low Disk Space message you can use this:
