Transfer IE Favs and Outlook Express Msgs

I need to tranfer my IE Favourites and Outlook Express messages from the Old Win98 PC to my new XP machine. They are connected through a network connection. How can I do it and where do I find the paths and/or folders that need to be moved?

    many thanks.

You can export your Favorites to a backup medium via IE File>Import and
Export>Export>Favorites and then import them from the medium into IE/WinXP
    via IE File>Import and Export>Import>Favorites.

You can include Favorites with other files and settings using WinXP's FAST
Wizard. See this helpful page by MS MVP Gary Woodruff:
    http://aumha.org/win5/a/fast.htm.

    The same with OE.

Import and Export are under File as well.

Sorted getting favourites in IE across OK. However, OE still posing problems taking folders (with the messages in them) from the old PC to the new PC. You cannot just export as it will only export to OE or outlook under the export option. I have managed to transfer them across as .dbx files to the new PC but do not now know how to get them into OE so that the folders appear in the tree with the messages still n them and so I can just carry on using them to file messsages, etc as before.

Any more advice for an “idiot”.

    many thanks
