Intel extreme graphics on d845glva motherboard
Hey. I just bought a new video card and I'm reading the instructions on how to install it. I came across the part where I have to uninstall my integrated graphics driver and it says I have to do this through BIOS. I have no idea how to do this and was hopeing that someone could give an easy walkthrough on how this is done? I would apreciate it
Thanks

Thank alot
I'll have to try it out

No problem. Let us know how it goes.
I would suspect that you need to install the new card first.
Then you have the option of which to choose as Primary.
-
Okay yea, I'l have to try that because my computer isn't letting me get into bios :S
-
This shouldn't have anything to do with getting into your BIOS Settings
What happens? Are you pressing F2 right after you power on?
-
Yea, but it does nothing and I checked around for other keys to hit to get into bios and one was ctrl+alt+del and I tried that and it looks like its doing something but then it stops and goes back to the same screen and continues reboot. But I found another way to disable my intel integrated graphics. Now I have another problem and its with my video card. It is a GeForce FX 5500 256 mb ddr pci card. I followed the intructions exactly the way it says to intall the card but when I plug my monitor into the card I get part of a picture and sometimes no picture at all...it will show my desktop but it has no icons or start bar or anything like that. How can I get it so that my monitor works through my card?

Did you install the drivers?
Try booting into Safe Mode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key after your BIOS POST but before Windows starts.
In the Device Manager you can also check that the on-board is disabled: Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc
In Safe Mode also you can install the drivers. Do you have them? If not the manufacturer's site will have them. Who is the manufacturer of this GeForce?

yes i have the card drivers and i have installed them but I still ahve the problem. I followed the installation of the card and of the drivers instructions exactly and went over them 5 more times on top of that and I can't get my card to work. My system has all of the card requirements so I don't know what is wrong. The manufacturer of this geforce card is bfg. I've checked their site for help too and found nothing I could do.
