    fonts

    When I had 98se it had more fonts to use than xp does. How can I get some of the fonts from the 98se over to the xp list, so I have the ones I am used to? I simply installed a new HD with xp on it, so 98 is just on another drive. Ideas?

    Put the fonts in a folder you've made, something called "new fonts".
    Put that folder where you'll find it, perhaps in My Documents. Now go
    to the Fonts applet in Control Panel and double-click it to open it.
    From the File menu, choose "Install New Font". You'll get a dialog box;
    use the bottom part to navigate to the folder you just made. The fonts
    in your folder will show up in the List of Fonts window and you can
    then highlight the ones you want (or choose "Select All") and click OK
    to install the fonts.

    problem is, I don't know the place to go to find them, either in XP or 98. I know its a system wide thing, where is it?

    Thanks! Its been a long time since I had been there, and it took a memory jogging to get back to this. I took the font folders of both drives, put them side by side and click and dragged the fonts over that I wanted. It worked! Thanks!
