Can't instal DirectX 9.0c
Hi, I installed the latest version of DirectX onto my computer, but nothing happened. All it did was skip straight to the complete menu when it didn't even install anything. I've tried installing Net Framework 1.1 and I've check my DirectX version and it still says 9.0b. I got no where to go to, so how do I install it? Pls HELP.

What is the connection between DirectX and .NET Framework?
Was .NET Framework 1.1 installed OK?
Did you use this download for 9.0c:

Yes I do have a Service Pack 2

The final version of XP SP2 has DirectX 9.0c as a default.
Was SP2 always on your computer or did you take it from Windows Update?
There are other ideas in these searches:

You apparently have a beta version of sp2.
You should see this from winver:
Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pack 2)
Go to > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
Check the box that says Show Updates and uninstall SP2.
Reboot your computer and then go to Windows Update via All Programs and reinstall SP2.
