    Wierd Problem

    Well I New To This Forum.............i Got This Forums Adress From Google While Serchin For My Pc Prblem.........
    Well, I Got This Wierd Prblem..........when Ever Thr Is A Disk Chck I Get This Msg "the Volume Is Dirty"

    It Appears In Following Format...........

    checking Drive C:
    Type Of File System Is Fat32
    The Volume Is Dirty.
    Volume Number ............



    And This Msg Appears On All The Drives. I Hav 3 Drives.

    I Did All Possible Things I Knew About Pc....like Defragmenting, Chckin Drive For Bad Sectors, For Viruses Etc....but No Use...........

    When Ever I Do "scan And Attempt For Recovery Of Bad Sectors" Check I Dont Get The Msg About "the Voume Is Dirty". It Only Appears Whn Thr Is Disk Chck.

    Is The Problem Serious Or Can It Be Solved .

    Plz Help.....

    Are you initiating the check disk or is it running automatically?

    Have you tried the /f flag?

    start > run > cmd
    in the new window type chkdsk /f
    when prompted to run on boot choose Y & reboot
    this will check for & fix any disk errors.

    Well I Dont Initiate The Disk Check. It Runs Automatically Whnevr The Pc Restarts After The Power Failure. And I Tried chkdsk /f But Atill Iget The Msg "the Volume Is Dirty"

    Did you try chkdsk /r

    Can you verify the dirty volumes:

    Go to Start/Run/CMD and type in: fsutil dirty query c:
    (Modify the drive letter accordingly)
