Hi Guys this is my first time using this forum,

i have two laptops which i have recently purchased from a major Health company GE Healthcare, which they were scrapping and they are both slighty faulty but can be fixed the problems are below:

Laptop one:

This seems to have a Malware on the laptop that doesnt allow the laptop to log in. everytime you log in you are automatically logged out, even as the Administrator and even in Safe mode.

I want to perform a full format and re-install XP, any idea how i can format the C: drive as i can get into the boot sequence or into DOS mode to format the drive.

Laptop 2:

Upon succesful log in the laptop crashes and i cannot use the keyboard or mouse and have to physically press the turn off button to turn it off. i want to re build this one too, but in safe mode cant log in as it cant recognise the network the laptop used to be on. Any idea's on how to format the drive and re-load XP?

any help will be appreciated

Hi guys any further help on how i can re-install XP with loggin onto the laptop as it crashes, as soon as i log on.

i have an XP cd...

is there any way of formatting the C: before boot up or through DOS?

need help ASAP!
