I am currently using my laptop to run my bookeeping program on but I wish to tranfer the files to my PC via ethernet cables. The ethernet card has been installed correctly and the computers appear to acknowledge each other but how do I physically transfer the data over. I am currently pulling out my hair.

Are they both running XP? If they are, you can establish a remote desktop connection.
