a friend of mine is having a problem with there dial up. when using a dial-up it connects, but only stays connect for 15 min. or so. would this be a settings problem?

is it an internal modem?
what ISP is he/she using
have they tried re-installing the modem drivers (should have come with the pc, or the modem if it was baught seperatley)
