2 hard drives, boot up problem

    Hello

I have a PC that I got mainly for making music, but I got 2 hard drives so I would still have one to mess around with so if it started messing up all the music stuff would still work ok.

The thing is a few weeks ago I had shut down the computer and pulled the plug, but I don't think the computer had finished shutting down properly. Now when I start the computer I get a blue screen that says the E drive is doing to be checked for problems or error or something. It never finds any problems and I can stop the check, there doesn't seem to be any problems with it it's just a bit of a hassle.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

    Thanks Terry

Here are two links that address your problem:

    1) Check Disk - Disk Checking Runs Upon Boot

    2) Using Chkntfs to Prevent Autochk from Running

    follow this path:

System Troubleshooting > Troubleshooting Disks and File Systems
    > Maintenance and Troubleshooting Tools > Chkdsk
    > Using Chkntfs to Prevent Autochk from Running
