Every time my computer starts up it has the new hardware found and says printer found but i unhooked the printer monthes ago, i didnt uninstall any software i just unhooked the usb and took the printer to another computer. was this something i shouldnt have done?

Uninstall any related software via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

If that doesn't stop it check the Device Manager to see if the printer is still listed.

Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc

Click the View tab and select Show Hidden Devices.

Also if it keeps popping up do not Cancel it but accept it OK or whatever it asks let it do what it wants to and it may not come back

lol ok jephree........anyways first of all, you will need to uninstall the drivers. That should be in the start menu. Who ever made your printer will be listed and just run your cursor over it and it SHOULD say, uninstall driver. But also do as jephree said first.........just just ignore the last part with the funny green smiley, lol
