I am really in trouble with my computer .It is taking a lot more time then required in almost every process. Even internet speed has become slow though i have a broadband connection it is taking more time than a dial up but this is a secondary issue. Prime issue is to first boost my Pc. So please help me I am looking forward to your quick reply

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

Check your Task Manager (right click an empty area of the Task Bar) under the Performance tab:

What is your CPU Usage? Also check your Physical Memory.

Do you defragment and clean the disk? etc.

Virus scan?

You might want to run a HijackThis log by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
(Not in this section please).

As a worst case scenario you could run a Repair Install that will retain your data but reload XP fresh.
