graphic resolution

Re: graphic resolution
I have a programme which is speeding up the dial up rate - not much but enough for my home usage but this still doesn't explain the pixelation of my own digital photos. The pc is fast and as I've said, dvds, games and other programmes run ok.
It's really annoying...

Sorry, just trying to help. Best of luck to you.

For the sake of troubleshooting I would turn off all accelerating software.
Also on web pages try to refresh the page by pressing Ctrl (hold it) & F5.
This forces a complete reload bypassing user cache.
Is this a new problem? Did this computer ever show these pics OK? Any new hardware and or software?
I have searched this issue as thoroughly as I can without much precedent.
If this is an XP issue do you have a full version XP CD? Or was XP preinstalled (OEM) on your computer?
If the former try running sfc /scannow from start > run
You will need your XP CD for this to check and repair the System Files.
If the latter what is the exact make and model plus # of the computer?

Sorted!
Jephree and Bear - thanks for the tip about the accelerator software! Indeed, after Bear's comment I researched with my speed-up software and the resolution of web displayed photos was medium. The moment I turned it back to original image, the apges were displayed clear.
Also, I changed my screen resolution to 1280x1024 and discovered another setting in my image browser to adjust the resolution to the desktop size.
Thank you all for the support!
Soothie
