hey! i'm new to this site, just wondering if some one can help me???

I have a 20gig hdd with 2 partitions, one is for xp and the other is for backing up my files. the xp partition is ntfs, and i am trying to format it, but DOS can't read it, and i almost formatted my backup, because it jumped to that.

I was thinking of deleting it using fdisk, but can i do so with out stuffing up my other partion?? i don't know??

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

Have you got your WinXP CD to hand? Boot off that and you will be able to format the system partition from there, if you have trouble booting from the CD download the XP boot floppy disks at bootdisk.com
