Question Windows XP always starts in safe mode

Hi, this is my first post. Any advice will be highly appreciated.
I have a PC with Windows XP Home edition.
I restarted my computer in Safe Mode with Networking and ran Ad-aware and SpybotSD and get rid of some spyware. After that I rebooted the PC in Normal Mode, but noticed that only a limited set of services were running as if the computer had started in safe mode. Ever since I'm having the same problem. I can see that the environment variable SAFEBOOT_OPTION is set to NETWORK even though the computer is starting in Normal Mode. Is it anyway to make it go back to normal?
Hope somebody can help me out on this.

    go to start/run msconfig

In the General tab make sure Normal Startup is checked.

If it is already perhaps try System Restore (available at the same tab).

Jephree, many thanks for your reply. I found the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306615/en-us and followed the steps mentioned there and the computer is working OK now.
