If you want to see if you need it try moving it to the Recycling Bin by Deleting it. Just don't empty your Recycling bin and it will sit there.
Then try the Media Player to see if there are any issues. If so just go to the Recycling bin and Restore it.
wmsdmod for example is a WMP file.
Just now dawning on me all your other WMP issues.
One try if you want to clean this up is uninstall then reinstall SP2.
That will reload WMP 9. You should then be able to load WMP 10 via Windows Update.
If there are no other issues I would just leave the stranger be □ā□□ā□□□ā□

it doesn't seem like I need it but I'll keep it in there anyway, and then I opened WMP a couple times to see if it would regenerate the folders and files and it didn't so I'm not really sure, but I think that we actually fixed WMP with all the help you gave me it seems to have retained the correct icons after the repair, if it happens again, I'll unistall sp2 then reinstall sp2, thanks for all your help.
