Windows installer wont work

it just comes up with an rror and shuts down...help please

when i try to install stuff it say th windows installr cannot be accessd.

Can you install anything or is the problem with a particular program?

Do you have all the Updates from Windows Updates? A new installer was issued a few months ago.

If not can you install from Windows Update?

Start > All Programs > Windows Update

Wait,can i either use a differnt installer,because other installrs work,like say fre ware gams and stuff hav thr own install,or an i dit it to havee a built in installr and not use windows

Are you being told your XP is invalid?

What is the source of your XP? Was it pre-installed on the computer or did you buy it separately?
