This program shows a slim possibility:

    http://www.recovermyfiles.com/Recove...ted_email.html

The free download will scan but you have to pay to retrieve. Might be worth downloading just to see if it can find anything. I suppose you could also manually search for such files but being nearly 3 years old is quite a leap

When you use a Web based email program like Yahoo you are using your Internet Browser to log into a remote computer which stores your email. When you delete an email you are deleting it from the remote computer and it cannot be recovered.

However, if you have previously viewed the deleted Hotmail email on the computer that you are using it may be possible to recover copies of the pages that you have viewed.

When you view Web based email with your Internet Browser a copy of the page you saw on your screen is written to your computer into the "Temporary Internet Cache". Caching is a way that computers speed up access to Internet pages. You may have copies of the Web mail messages still stored in your Temporary Internet Files folder, or, as the cache is frequently automatically emptied, as a deleted HTML pages on your computer.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried that program and it did recover some as far back as Oct. '03 I would pay to show the ones I need but the date format on the left hand side didn't show the month I'm searching for. I'll use it again to see if it will home in a little closer. I havn't tried retrieving from the html deleted pages. Temp internet folders are quick to be lost, but I'll check that as well. My biggest problem here is time... I really think I can get them back because this is an internet based email system and as you've said, they are on my system somewhere. I do have a program that overwrites things 35 times but, it doesn't overwrite e-mails so I should be safe with that. Been looking for a program called Pro Recovery witch has worked for some others I know. Just havn't been able to locate it yet. I'll keep you posted.
