    No Sound

I can't seem to get any sound on my pc, any ideas what could be causing this? i've checked in Sound and Audio Device properties to ensure the speakers haven't been muted, and also checked everything has been plugged in correctly. all volume controls are set (in windows, on the speaker and in the application) and nothing is muted. I have also completed system restore.

The problem 'seemed' to arise after I removed my ipod usb lead from my pc.

    Welcome to D-A-L

Reloading the drivers would be a first easy attempt.

Is your sound onboard or do you have a PCI Audio card?

If the former what is the make and model of the computer and or motherboard?

If the latter what is the make and model of the card?

The manufacturers web site should have the audio drivers needed.

When you remove devices from the PC while powered on you should use the Remove Hardware Safely Wizard.

'm not the most technical i'm afraid, but, I have tried to get the information you have mentioned.

There doesnt seem to be an option for 'sound card' exactly, but I think this is the information you need (?)

    C-Media WDM Audio Device

    Driver date: 15/12/2005
    Driver Provider: C-Media Inc
    Driver Version: 5.12.1.50
    Provider: C-Media Corporation

    Computer:
    AMD Athlon ™ XP2400+
    2.02 GHZ
    704MB RAM

I'm missing listening to my music sooooo much so any advice would be helpful and appreciated!!!

    Kind Regards

    Run this scan: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

What is listed under System Model as well as Main Circuit Board?

Also check your Device Manager (Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc) for any yellow ! or listings under Other Devices.

Click the + next to Sound...
