Ihave connected it to my ps2 in the back and placed in the cd for online playing started up disk.. and since i have aol 9.0 optimized it says to connect a cablephone cord in to the back of the slot on the left slot which is here. and i registered and the only problem is, is that is says the line is busy..ANd i made sure noone was using the ohine and it still has said the line has been busy.. I think it might be what they asled me whoch was wats the first number that needs to be dial such as a 1 or a 9..i believ thats the problem but im am not sure.

if any phones are connected, disconnect them and try again..... broadband shouldnt make any speed difference as the ps2 network adaptor only works at 56k so your speed will be slowed down anyway, only advantage there would be the ability to use the phone....

the first number that needs to be dial
this shouldnt make a difference.. did you just plug a lead into the phoneline then ps2 or something in between?

EDIT: are you using an RJ-11 or RJ-45 cable to connect your ps2?

    Hope this helps,
    Mike

ok, are you tryin to hook up your XBox now or your PS2? For XBOX, HIGHSPEED would actually make a big difference. My friend uses Comcast Highspeed and its already broadband and it works wonders. It doesn't lag or anything. As for the PS2, i also use Comcast Highspeed. If you get high speed, make sure it's broadband. If had problems with AOL in the past and i've tried many a times to hook it up to my PS2, but it doesn't work. Just hook the line from your modem to your XBOX/PS2. That should do it, if it doesn't work i don't know what will. Just do what I do and continually beat it up until it works. (JK!!!!) As for the payments on the PS2 online, ITS FREE!!!!

We will be getting some type of high speed im not sure wat company it is but for now we have aol 9.0 optimized and it sux soo bad for for now thats all i have and they sais ps2 online can work on dial up conections...And I connected my phone cord into the phone line and in to my ps2 and i went into the isp and all that and pressed aol dial u pand it was at the starting point in dailing up on ym ps2 when all of a sudden it said the line was busy so im not sure wat it might be except for the number u need to press before it dials such as a 1 or 9 it had asked me that and i wasnt sure wat that was.. And i thought it might have been a 1... sicne it said that on my aol before it dails through the steps for signing on..
