let me start by saying Hello to everyone.

I currently run an older HP pavilion XT963, with 1.2 GHZ intel celleron and 256 mb ram, most of the time this omputer runs perfectly.

I use the browsers Mozilla Firefox and internet explorer, the most recent versions of each.

now getting right to the problem, sometimes when I use my dial-up connection the computer lags horribly, after connecting I open a browser (either one, this occurs only AFTER connecting though) andt he computer sits there like its not responding, I hit ctrl alt del, and still nothing, generally about 20 minutes after I connect the browser finally pops up, along with anything else I have tried to open.

I have run ad-aware, hijack this, AVG free, and the only thing I find that I have no idea about is a program called mwsoemon in program files\my web search\ I disabled this using msconfig, but it always seams to come back (I heard that mywebsearch was a browser hijack) anyway, if anyone has any ideas feel free to reply or email me.
