my screen is all flippen red ive scanned for viruses and everything. i wasnt home when it did this everyone says the computer poped up a error now my screen has a red tint
please help

u mean turn off and back on? ive did that and restarting and it still happens. ive ran a test on the video card and it went black and had a green box and looked fine

Take a look at your Event Viewer. All errors & information points are listed by time. See if you see anything that happened around the time you were gone. When others saw some error.

Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id & Description especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.
Also check the Information lines that might coincide with this issue.

Also try Start/Run/ dxdiag | Display for any errors.

Also look at the Device Manager Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc | Display Adapters

~What test did you run on the video card?

well i cant find anything but there are alot of error reports in there. i just ran the directX test on my card.

No errors that coincide with the possible time?

Are there settings buttons on the monitor? A Menu? Perhaps an Auto reset?

Also try start Control Panel | Display | Settings | Advanced

What card is it? You may need to reinstall the drivers.

You could also try a System Restore to a point prior to this issue:

start All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore

Did you find settings buttons on the bad monitor? Perhaps a Degauss button?
