I've got a similar problem & need HELP! Please

I have a Compaq Presario X1000 & Windows XP, Verizon Fios connection wireless D-LINK router.

I got that same error plus a few others.

i had this exact same problem some time ago, id open messenger from start menu and it would go to start, the icon in the taskbar would apear and thats all, id go down to hover the mouse over the icon and it would dissapear..

now this paticular problem i had was (if i remember correctly) was a missing .OCX file i think, but im not sure on that,as it was a while ago now. it was definetly a missing file of some kind tho. im not sure if this is realated but it sounds very simelar
