Win xp "Help and Support" will not load up from the start menu

    Win xp "Help and Support" will not load up from the start menu

    I am unable to load up help and support on my Win XP macine, any ideas?. I have tried restoring to see if this would help, but no joy

    Go to Start Run and type in: helpctr -regserver

    Thanks for your help. I did as you suggested but it asked me to make sure I had typed the instruction in correctly. I tried this twice, now the run instruction will not work

    have you got your XP disc?
    can you boot into safe mode?

    Can you still use the Run box? If so:

    Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 HHCTRL.OCX

    (note the space between regsvr32 and HHCTRL.OCX

    I tried as you suggested I was greeted by DllRegister server in HHCTRL.OCX succeeded howver when I tried to looas from the start up menu it still would not load
