Well, all went well, until it glitched with a mapped user section opened error, so I figured no problem, figured it out, then it wouldn't re-copy a file, so I figured that I could just create another account and used what I learned, but after logging off to go to my account to start over, I noticed some files missing, so I went back to other and they were not there either, so now I'm worried, any time I copy and paste it always safe, but I'm here to tell you that if it glitches, you are going to lose some files, not all just some, like all of your documents,pictures, and favorites, and maybe a few more, don't know yet, but everything else is there, and no system restore will not work, and I painstakingly spoke each individual step as I did it to make sure that I did not flub it up, but something went definitely wrong, and I figure if by some chance that I did hit cut, then it should have all been gone, so I guess I will just reformat again, and disect the accounts to try and figure out the modem issue, which by the way did work when I tried after the transfer errored out, it was some kind of user file that created the havoc the last time, that could not be re-copied, I kinda forgot the name when I realized I had Lost a couple of thousand files (not much compared to what I was transferring)LoL
The user mapped section error will pop up if you have any kind of temporary files at all, but if it gets that user file in there, the error is that it can't copy it again, so you have to start over, and the files were not there, sooo.

This fix seems to work, they just left out a few details, which isn't the first time I have seen that with a microsoft fix, you need to leave out a few more things for it to work right the first time, such as any temps or posible .dat files that contain any temp info, so run a good windows cleanup program before you start and I think it should be fine, it was for me, except the copy error....
Will post back on hte modem issue, as I rebuild the missing files...
