    Re: XP Task manager

Have uninstalled McAfee but still appears on desktop! Installed AVG Free. Since then when start up get the error: This application has failed to start because SPORDER.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Then another window appears saying: Photogallery - Please wait while Windows configures PhotoGallery ... gathering required information ... The feature you are trying to use is on a CDRom or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the “PhotoGallery” disk and click ok. Have not got this disk!!! Please, please advise.

sporder.dll is an AVG file. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

McAfee on the desktop is just a shortcut. You can right click and delete.

It is always a good idea when removing programs to do a manual cleanup by going to start/search and type in your program (e.g. mcafee).

As to PhotoGallery: assuming this is a program that you have? But you do not have the CD?

Are you familiar with PhotoGallery? If not you can remove this from starting up via start/run msconfig | startup

Unclick a box related to PhotoGallery.

    Hi!

I've got the same problem as pjpauline; every time I start up my computer there is a message "Windows Installer" followed by "PhotoGallery" and finally it asks for a disk... I have no disk and furthermore - I have no idea about the program "PhotoGallery" and where it originate from. In addition, there is no sign of it in the "AutoStart"-list. Any idea how to get rid of this annoying pop-up is very much appreciated.
