Hi i was wondering if anybody could help, i have just signed up to this site because i cant find any useful information anywhere else.
we had been having problems with virus's on the laptop, we installed norton 2005 an avast to get rid of them there were at least 50 then we did 3 full system scans and it detected nothing and everything was working fine.
my partner installed the new version of windows xp pack 2 and the next time he came to the laptop it displayed the following message: -
error 0x0000007f (0x00000000 , 0x00000000 , 0x00000000 , 0x00000000) it says a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent any damage to your computer.
Does anybody have any idea why this might have occured and how to get rid of it.

First off you should only run one anti-virus program. These things fight each other

Also when SP2 was installed did you turn off all anti-virus programs? It is advised.
