I have just bought a DELL Inspiron 1300 laptop, and had problems with the Windows XP system, which is part of the machine.
I resored it, as Dell told me to do, but cannot reinstall Windows, it will not let me
Any ideas??

what was the original problem?
have you got the xp instalation /recovery disk?
have you tried booting from that?

The original problem was that my windows media player 10, and the xp system, kept freezing, for about 30 seconds at a time.
Th emachine came , from Dell, with xp already installed.
I have 2 discs that came with it, that say that they are for reinstalling dell inspiron Eurotools system software.

if i was you i would get back to dell if the machine is not that old and see what they say about replacing it

you should also have a recovery disk with the machine if not then go back to dell

please let me know how you get on
