What are the Details of that error report.

Many similar errors are reported for various Windows apps:

If this just happened today you might consider a System Restore to yesterday as an easy fix.

If you want to examine the detailed dump try to view:

    C:\DOCUME~1\Mouhamed\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe66f.dir00\w mplayer.exe.mdmp

If this is just a WMP issue you can always reinstall on top of your existing player which usually clears errors.

The two programs share information but are not dependent on each other. In other words they do not share internal files. Here is the link to Microsoft's' WMP Newsgroup searched for MSN issues as there are some plug-ins for specific sharing:

    No..like
On the System Resore Calendar it has the time of installation.
    Windows Media 10 (6pm)
    MSN Messenger 7 (8pm)
If i resore my computer to 6pm will the 8pm installation be removed also?

Oh and in the system analysis test crash thingy,
it says that the problem was caused by Windows Xp, not my Media Player.
I think it because of my hard drive. Grrrr. Hopefully i can get a new one under warrenty

    Thanks.

Yes; a system restore will remove all subsequent downloads.

What are the details of that system analysis test crash thingy?

Hard drive manufacturer's have diagnostics that you can download, transfer to a floppy, and run on your hard drive. Most have an error code that the manufacturer will use to validate a warranty.

    Here is a list:

    Hey.
Umm, well i tried running some tests, i didnt have any floppies so i just used a boot cd .iso found on the western digital site.
It turned out i had some Smart Drive Errors. I couldn't save the logs onto anything so i cannot really display them.
I will when i buy some floppies.
Umm, anyways, do you think i can get it under warrenty.
    thanks.

This page has a Windows version of the Life Guard as well as warranty links:

Data Lifeguard Tools 11 for Windows

    Warranty & RMA Services

    -------------------------
If you want to try and analyse the XP errors:

Go to start | search (type in) .dmp
Note the location of your .dmp files.

    Then:

    1) Download and install the
    Debugging Tools from Microsoft
    2) Download and install this
    debugwiz
    3) Open the Wiz & Browse to, or paste in the path to, your .dmp file.
    4) After the Wiz creates a Text document attach it back to this thread.

Yes the drive is faulty and it will be going under warrenty back to my administator.
This drive made me format 10+ times in 4 months and 3 in the last week and i just formated in the last hour.
Im glad i was able to pin point the problem (although i did know it was the drive, i jst had no way to prove it..till now)
Im gonna get it fixed, although i am a little disapointed becuase i have to wait 2 weeks until the warrenty drive comes im hoping my manufaturer can supply me with a hard drive i can use in the meanwhile.
    Anyways, thanks!
