sure i downloaded it to the computer im useing right now put in my floppy opened the floppy draged the program to the floppy and it took a min to load and thats it

NOTE: The PowerMax download is a self-extracting file.


After downloading to your Windows desktop, insert a clean formatted floppy diskette into your A:\ drive.
Double-click on the PowerMax diskette creator icon.
When the Maxtor pop-up screen displays, click on the "Create Floppy" option.

The files will extract on to the floppy diskette, creating a bootable version of the PowerMax utility. Do not download PowerMax directly to a floppy. PowerMax extracts from a Win32 environment only and will not extract from 16-bit DOS mode.

Yes: after you format it. Insert; right click A: under My Computer; Format; Quick Format.

This will erase the floppy.

What is the exact error?

"Windows was unable to complete the format."? Are you running an anti-virus?

yea its still giving me a hard time im just oing to try a different floppy

yea so im in here and its given me a fw choices to which test i should select..... basic test... advaned test... burn test... low level format... low level format... select another drive... contact mastor... im think the advanced test
