    Exclamation windows media help

    Can anyone help me please?

    I am running windows xp and can not get Windows Media player 10 to work.Im on a wireless connection on my pc and when it comes up with the error screen,it keeps telling me my internet connections are not recognised.I have tried to adjust the connections to match those of my ISP,who is BT Broadband.Please help

    Sorry for all the questions....
    have you tried re-installing WMP? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
    also, have you always had this problem or is it a new one?
    what firewall software are you running?
    have you checked that your firewall is now blocking WMP?
    also, what exactly is your problem? getting WMP to connect to the internet or playing songs?

    This problem occured when i installed wmp 10
    firewall software is bullguard
    its not blocking wmp
    i cant get wmp to connect to the internet

    ok, could you check to see if windows firewall is off (start>control panel>windows firewall

    if it is on, turn it off. having 2 or more firewalls on can cause problems. if that doesnt help, what are the internet settings on wmp?
