My PC seems to be slowing up quite dramatically at times. If it is making a whirring sound it usually means that something is operating - it is doing that quite often now when as far as I am aware I am not doing anything.

It also gets to a stage where it hangs for ages before I can call up a window I have clicked on.

Any suggestions?

I have recently instaled Firefox 1.5 and this seems to hang at times. Anyone else notice anything?
