Hey Madmikejt!
To make it clear, you have the x600 se plugged into the PCI and the onboard video disabled?
I looked at your graphics card specs (http://www.ati.com/products/radeonx600/specs.html) and
it does not show that you have a TV tuner there. If you have a TV tuner plugged into another PCI slot then it should come with some software and manual on how to get it running!
You have to make sure that you have a card in your computer that has an antenna input:
Then it's just a matter of downloading the manual and software (if not present)
Good luck!
on theTI site, it says
What does that mean? (the bold)Additional Features
Dual integrated display controllers
Dual integrated 10 bit per channel 400 MHz DACs
Integrated 165 MHz TMDS transmitter (DVI 1.0 compliant / HDMI interoperable and HDCP ready)

Hey Madmiketj!
As the Diamond Multimedia webiste explains:
LINK: http://www.diamondmm.com/howtobuyvideocard.phpS-Video and/or TV-Out: Most video cards, even value cards, provide the ability to send the video signal from your PC to your TV. This feature is labeled as "TV-Out" on the video card package. In most cases, the TV-out jack is an "S-video" type jack designed to send a high-quality s-video signal to newer TV's. If you are using an older TV that has RCA input instead of s-video, you can use an "S-Video to RCA adaptor" to convert the signal to RCA to input to your TV.
So in simple words the TV out sends the "TV singal out" of the computer. You can hook up your TV to your PC and play let's say DIvX movies on your TV screen or you can even try playing some games, but in order to have the ability to watch the regular TV channels on your monitor using your computer you still need a card that has an antenna input on it (TV tuner).
Wikipedia:
I hope it seems to be clearer now :]A TV tuner card is a computer component that allows television signals to be received by a computer. Most TV tuners also function as video capture cards, allowing them to record television programs onto a hard disk.
Good luck!
hi abes, thanks for the info, thats helped me understand better now
