Exclamation WINDOWS FREEZES on one user account

HI GUYSN / GALS- JUST JOINED

running windows XP SP2, the system has five accounts with my account being used to access the internet. When i log on into my account the system freezes. the only way i can access my account is to log into another account (also with admin. priv.), and then swith user. My account then runs fine.

have run anti- virus programs, malware programs, anti-spyware, have pc booster, defragged, have the shield anti-virus with zone alarm firewall.
the only thing I have changed is to get rid of KHOOKER.EXE - but research on the internet suggests that this program is not req. Have 512 internal mem with 80gbhard drive (50%free)

    please help.

    Hey Percy!

Have you tried logging into your account in the safe mode?
    If yes, then what happens?

You can also run "msconfig" (Start->Run->msconfig->Enter)
and go to "Startup" tab. Look over the list of programs that are starting
with Windows - uncheck them all. Also go to "Services" tab and
check "Hide All Microsoft Services" option - see if any of those
services look suspiciously. You can try disabling them all
right away without thinking about what they do, because it is
no a problem to re-enable them later! Now just restart your
computer and try logging into your account - if it works fine
then one of the programs or one of the services causes the
    problem.

Tell me if that brought any positive results!
