i recently read a magazine article saying how to speed up your windows boot it said how to block some apps from starting up-hence sppeding up your pc but i did this using the ms configuration and everytime i turn my pc on it comes up a black screen with command prompt style stuff saying start windows normally or start recovery system please tell me how 2 get rid of this!!!pleasex100000

Try going to "Start->Run->Msconfig->OK". The "General" tab has your startup options. Check "Normal Startup", click "OK" and restart your machine and see if it brings the black screen up or no. If it doesn't then after the reboot go back to "msconfig" and browse to "Startup" tab. Disable all the programs you don't use, like, appreciate, know... pretty much everything other than antivirus or firewall! Restart the computer again.
