No mixer device?!
I don't know what happened. Earlier I was listening to music on my computer then I went and dowloaded Opera and did a spyware cleanup. Now I can't play music or adjust the volume on my computer. I don't see how it could be related to the download or the cleaning but I must have screwed something up. This is a screen shot I just took. That's the window I get when I try to open the volume controls. Thanks in advance.

Easiest first try is System Restore:
Start/Run/ %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
Try a point prior to Opera & the spyware clean.
Or open the spyware cleaner (which was it?) & restore the backup.
BTW: did you try the Control Panel instruction?

Thanks, I didn't even think about system restore. That fixed my problem but I lost all my bookmarks I had created in Opera. Is there any way to recover them?

The only thing I can think of, as I am falling asleep,
, is go back to System Restore and undo the Restore then backup opera (if it restores) then do System Restore again.
This is a good file recovery program but I am not sure that it will work in this situation:
