Hi and welcome to D-A-L
is the clock on your PC always the corect time? your CMOS battery may have gone
-
Thanks Jeff for answering my question.
I thought this could have been my problem at first but Date, Time all okay.
I went to computer store again today and he said perhaps Bios Battery on Motherboard what do you think?
It's just a little weird that when the computer is going and thats the one I'm using to post it goes so damn well.
The computer is exactly the way I bought it the only thing I have added is the second CD rom (not burner) because there's two things I really enjoy in life and they are COMPUTERS and Music and I couldn't always listen to music while burning so I installed 2nd Cd Rom and I added that at lease 4-5 Months again.
Thanks for Trying

The BIOS battery would be the CMOS battery. If it were failing the clock settings would probably not stay.
Another thought would be some corruption to the BIOS Boot Block. The solution to this would be to flash the BIOS.
In order to find the proper BIOS download you need to positively ID your board.
Is this a retail computer or custom built?
If retail what is the make & model? The manufacturer's site should have BIOS downloads.
If custom built you will want the motherboard manufacturer. You need the exact board # e.g. Gigabyte K8 Triton GA-K8NS Pro

Hi jephree,
Okay I thought there must have been two batteries i have only ever heard off the CMOS battery but the computer store man today spoke about the BIOS battery. BUT he also mention to flash the Bios I've never done that before but willing to give it ago.
I GOT THE COMPUTER CUSTOM BUILT FOR GAMING REALLY but i have all the books, CD's etc.......
and the book says........
GIGABYTE TECHOLOGY
K8 Triton Series
GA-K8VT800(Pro)
VIA KBT800 chipset
Thanks Dianna

Here is the latest BIOS:
http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard...T800%20Pro.htm
Please read carefully the: How to reflash MB BIOS & ask any further questions.
Most flash BIOS have a Safe feature & a Full flash. You would want the Full in order to flash the Boot Block.
Let us know if you have further questions.

Okay Jephree,
Had a read of how to flash BIOS and learnt alot what i discovered was on my Motherboard utilities CD I found Gigabyte @Bios this sends you to the internet to download lastest undate. Also found Flash was disable in Bios that took some finding but found in book I needed to hit ctrl and f1 to get to advanced BIOS setting's have now let the computer do the update and will see how it goes once I turn it off tonight I surpose if that doesn't work I should just buy another Motherboard although I feel abit cheated that it's just over 12 months old. Bad luck I guess. But still I surpose it could have been alot worse.
Thanks again
