I have recently started using Nuendo for recording music etc and when I try to play the .wav files held in my audio folders with WMplayer 10 the following message comes up:

The codec you are missing is not available for download from this site. You might be able to find it on another site by searching the Web for "1" (this is the WaveFormat or FourCC identifier of the codec).

I have searched the forums and tried to download numerous codecs mentioned but none of them fix the problem and let me play the files.

My first guess is that the issue is with Nuendo. Do you have the latest updates & plugins?

Otherwise a new version of WMP 10 was recently released. You might try installing it on top of your present version.
