The standard reply to this issue is:

Go to Start/Administrative Tools/Services. Scroll down to Plug and Play
Service and stop and restart it. Once done the Device Manager will populate
    again.

I've been reading up on this the last couple of days. Many people having the same problem at the same time and the usual fixes arent working. Only possible fix some have found is here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums...973#6821025973 So if you've tried the MS fix, this one wont hurt to try either.

    Can you do this:

Right click Plug & Play then click Properties then click the drop down menu next to Startup type.

Disable it then Apply OK then go back & set it back to Automatic apply/OK.

    ?

Glad it worked. Seems Apropos is the main reason for this at the moment.
