Has anyone any idea how to get a disc out of my laptop? I got a friend to fix a problem for me and now his disc won,t eject.I keep pressing the eject button but it just whurs into action every time but will not come out.Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

what was the problem your friend was trying to fix?

I had a similar problem with my Dell desktop, the 1st time i had to take my drive out and re-plase an elasick band that had snapped and the second time, i simply tilted the computer then pressed eject, you could try that.

you say "it just whurs into action every time but will not come out" does the noise start then stop for a short time? (if so it is probably blocked or stuck) or does the motor carry on spinning for the time it would take for the drive to open normaly? (if so, there is probably a cog/elastic band lose or broken)

have you tried right clicking and pressing eject ?

Sorry to have taken so long to say ta to Madmike and co but I have solved the problem, Slot for C D had a slight kink in it and the CD,s were jambing up on the inside.Being made of plastic they soon get a bit of a wow on them,hopefully I shouldn,t have any more problems,if I do I,ll know exactly where to start won,t I>Ta Much.
