    File types pop-up menu.

    Hi folks.

I have just downloaded a 3D graphics\design program, and in the user instructions it says: In order to see the ".3dmf" files, you may have to set the file types pop-up menu to "any file" in the file dialog box. (I don't know what or where a file dialog box is).

Can anyone explain to me how I do this?

If any more information is needed, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Thank you for your time.

    ATB Gary.

If windows doesnt recognise the file/folder, it should come up when you try to open it

    Hope this helps,
    Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply.

The programs name is: Design workshop lite. By Artifice Inc.

The download was for Win XP. The said extention file is a demo walkthrough file.

I hope this is enough infomation.

I downloaded the program to design, and draw exploded views of furniture. If you know of an alternative free program, I would very much appreciate it.

    hi gary,
i had a design program once (i was just playing about with it) it was called canvas or something like that, i got it free with a mag.

    You could try corel: http://www.corel.co.uk/servlet/Satel...rkid=ukgrgode5
You can try before you buy

I will look for the disk that i got mine with and tell you what it is called, i also have a dvd-rom that has 4.5gb of freeware/shareware.... it has all sorts of things.... security, drawing, music mixing/editing/players and other things

    Regards,

    Hi Mike.

I was in the middle of replying to you when I started to look back at what I had done when I thought of doing a search on the extentions. Lo and behold, there they where in the folder under program files. So I went to the program to see if everything worked. I now have the walk throughs.

Thanks for your time Mike, sorry if I wasted it.
