Just wondering if anyone could help, I have accidently deleted my sound card and have no idea waht to do to get sound back on my computer....

Dont know if this helps, in system properties it says my computer is:

Intel (R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.53GHz
2.52 GHz, 512 MB of RAM

what is the make+model of your pc? or if it is custom built, what is the make of your sound card?

Hi, the make and model is: Dell Dimension 4500.... I think the name of the deleted card may have been called 'Turtle Beach' or something quite similar if that makes any sense?

I looked through my CDs and found a Turtle Beach CD and installed it again, but afterwards a screen came up saying 'there was a problem, the hardware was not recognised in the hardware tree'. ?

You might try the troubleshooting tools from Dell:
