BSoD, Bad Pool Caller, Somebody Please Help!

    Ok here's the problem,

I haven't used my PC for nearly a year now but have been using my laptop instead due to this problem. Everytime I turn on the PC it gets to the Windows XP loading screen with the green progress bar in the middle, stays on it for about 15 seconds then I get the below BSoD and then the PC restarts itself and goes through the whole process again.

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    BAD_POOL_CALLER

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

    Technical information:

    *** STOP: 0x000000c2 (0x00000043,0xc2c14000,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Now I've read a little bit on how to how to debug a Stop 0xC2 or Stop 0x000000C2 error and it seems to me that this problem is probably to do with one of the drivers. The only problem is that I can't get the operating system to load in order to sort this out, I've tried Safe Mode and the Last Known Configuration That Worked but I still get the same thing happening. I've also tried to reformat the hard drive but everytime I boot from the Windows XP CD and then press F10 to get to the Recovery Console and press 1 and then ENTER the exact same thing happens again. I was also told at one point to take out all the unnessecary hardware. So I removed the modem but left the graphics card and mother board/sound card combo in but this also made no difference. If I had to take a guess I would say it was something to do with the graphics card (thats a completely uneducated guess by the way) which says Geforce2 MX200 on the top and Inno3D (MX200) 64MB AGP on the bottom. There are a few pages that I've been on to try and figure this problem out, such as http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp but their solutions are far too complicated for me to understand. If anyone can think of any solutions or has any advice I would be most grateful.

    Hi

I have a similar problem, and it is caused by conflicting drivers.

In my case it is Nero doing the damage, I have CloneDVD installed, and after installing Nero and trying to burn a disc I get that error.

Maybe you can try eliminating some software one at a time to see if you have a smiliar problem.

    Hope that helps
