When I try to highlight half of a page...the highlighting wont stop till it is at the bottom of the page. It just speeds up and goes to the end...any advice

Place the cursor at the beginning of the bit that you want to highlight by clicking once, then hold down the shift key and click at the end of the bit that you want to highlight. The content inbetween should be highlighted.
