Helo..I got a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC 4481B drive that came with my Dell computer and I put it in this computer..been that way for many months now...but recently..I can only burn cds...it wont read any CDS...every time I put a cd in audio or a CD ROM it just says CD ROM then I clcik on it and it says please insert disk. Any other iformation I need to provide to help you guys let me know

This is a fairly common issue often considered an XP bug.

Try rebooting the machine & see if the behavior is the same.

I got it worlking for now..keeps doing it nwo and then...I have to msconfig it and disable all startup reboot..then renable everything and reboot and it works
